Carla Aberra has over 26 years of experience in the healthcare field, having worked in nursing homes, hospitals, and clinics. Most recently, she has embraced the role of a travel nurse, enjoying the opportunity to explore different parts of the country and the world.

In 2015, Carla had the privilege of joining her first medical mission trip to Holeta, Ethiopia, alongside Dr. Atoma and her team—an experience that ignited a deep passion for global health and service. She returned to Ethiopia in 2017 and most recently served in Loyee, Liberia in 2025. These mission trips pushed her beyond her comfort zone, leading to both personal growth and professional development. She is deeply committed to serving underserved and marginalized populations, firmly believing that every life matters.

When she’s not caring for patients, Carla enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and two adult children. She also loves traveling, going on long walks, and volunteering at her church.
